The shared evening meal

Her passion for cuisine led Jane, since she was very young, to dream of preparing meals for others. In fact, this simple desire to cook was the spark that set on fire the entire project at Le Boucheron at Beynac.

A few years ago, I opened an “ephemeral restaurant” in my tiny Parisian studio apartment. Several nights a week, I served a three-course meal, first course, main course, and dessert to groups of 8-12 guests. It was fantastic; I loved doing it! This experience reinforced my desire to transform this passion into my profession. But I also became aware that there was something beyond my pleasure in cooking…I loved receiving guests and sharing my meals with others. What better match than to open a B and B and offering an evening meal to share!

French-American, a native of San Francisco, and a traveller, Jane offers a traditional cuisine, perfumed with a worldly essence. Hers is also a conscientious and authentic cuisine with home-made and home-grown products…and, yes, produce from her own garden!

The signature product, is, of course, lamb since it is the main product of Le Boucheron. However, Jane and Nicolas also cultivate a large vegetable garden so that they can provide the B and B table with quality, untreated produce. Jellies and jams are home-made from Le Boucheron’s own fruit trees. Products not available on the farm like beef, pork, duck and even honey all come from local growers. The local baker provides delicious, quality fresh bread and pastries.

Dinner is served on Friday and Saturday evenings. Please reserve a week in advance.
